Free attractions in Dallas for displaced families

The Dallas Arboretum is offering free full garden admission and parking to those impacted by Hurricane Harvey through two avenues: free admission to customers with a photo ID from the affected areas and tickets provided to the Dallas shelters. The offer of free tickets delivered to the shelters are valid through September 30.

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science near downtown Dallas is offering free admission to the families displaced by Hurricane Harvey. Through September 30, families who reside in the affected region can receive complimentary general admission for up to seven family members. A proof of residency and photo ID are required, see qualifying counties and other details here.

Through September 4, the Dallas Zoo is offering free admission to anyone who’s in the Dallas area because they’ve been impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Visitors from the Gulf Coast may show ID at the admission office to receive free tickets. The shelters will have tickets available as well.

The Nasher Sculpture Center in the Dallas Arts District is offering free admission to the museum for those displaced by the flooding in Southeast Texas. Additionally, the museum will be free Saturday, September 2 all day, and will offer kids activities from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
